Natural handcrafted artisan soap is not the same as buying the commercially processed bars from the mainstream grocery stores. In fact, soap made by the mass-manufacturers are not really soaps at all, they are detergent bars filled with chemicals and synthetic fragrances that cause skin irritation. They are generally harsh for your skin and may even cause allergic reactions. Handcrafted soap is very mild and is more beneficial for your skin. It contains natural glycerin, a humectant moisturizer. In most commercial soap, this is removed. My handcrafted soap has wonderful cleansing & lathering properties. I carefully choose my ingredients and develop my own recipes, then I make small batches of soap by hand through either the cold process or hot process method. My soaps are all made with natural pure vegetable oils, distilled water, coconut milk or yoghurt, botanicals, herbs and pure essential oils.
The art of soapmaking is a fabulous creative world, I integrate healing ingredients and positive intention into my own soap creations. It’s a beautiful craft that combines art, chemistry & baking, all in one. The soapmaking process is one that truly inspires me and expands my imagination wide.
